Oatly is looking for a Sustainability Specialist with experience from sourcing and supply chain. The role has a global scope and will work very close to Operations (Sourcing, Supply Chain, production sites) within Oatly and drive the sustainability agenda and support with sustainability competence. Our suppliers are one of the most important keys to develop our overall sustainability performance, which is why an ambitious work of continuous improvement with regular follow up within supply chain is essential. We have challenging goals for improvements and our company culture encourage new ideas for sustainable solutions and collaborations.
Since sustainability is a core value for Oatly, the role will also include to share knowledge on our sustainability agenda within the organization and supporting communication and creative departments with background information for external communication.
As Sustainability Specialist – Sourcing at Oatly you will:
• Develop and implement relevant sustainability criteria, social as well as environmental, for procurement, focusing on food ingredients
• Help develop the global procurement process to ensure that sustainability requirements are followed up on and developed in a way that leads to continuous improvements.
• Implement and follow-up the Oatly supplier Code of conduct
• Carry out sustainability assessments of ingredient suppliers
• Participate in supplier meetings to address sustainability
• Support the Oatly supply chain organization with sustainability expertise, and secure that sustainability is included in relevant internal processes and decision forums
• Follow up on action plans to reach sustainability goals within the supply chain organization and provide supplier sustainability status, including key performance indicators, to the Sustainability Controller for sustainability reporting
Qualifications:
• A solid knowledge and background from the Food Industry
• Some years of experience from similar position
• University Degree in Science, preferably within agricultural science, or a master’s degree in another relevant environmental discipline
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Strong in communication
