4PL Central Station is the leading provider of fourth party logistics services in Europe. Fourth party logistics means providing services of managing the supply chain and logistics on behalf of customers. The Swiss company is family owned and was founded in Basel in the year 2000. 4PL Central Station currently employs more than 350 logistics professionals in its offices globally, working with supply chain and logistics management consulting, operations and software solutions The Nordic office is based in Malmö, with about 35 people.

4PL SOLUTIONS MANAGER

4PL Central Station business model is to serve customers with 4th party logistics (4PL) solutions, in short Supply chain and Logistics management solutions partly or fully outsourced (operating), consulting – supply chain analysis, tender and procurement and software solution – Transport Management System and Control Tower solutions. A key part of the offering is the IT and process solutions for supply chain and logistics management, ranging from procurement and analysis to transport management and optimization systems, customs, rate management and CO2- calculations along with control tower visibility through business intelligence and tracking solutions. 

 About the position

The position 4 PL Solutions Manager is a very important and critical role and is reporting directly to Managing Director for Sweden. The task involves being responsible for the 4PL Solutions for different clients and having the overall accountability for the 4PL Solutions offering to the market. The 4 PL Solutions Manager will also participate in selling solutions, outsourcing, consulting or software solutions. The responsibility currently includes a direct report team of 3 people but is intended to grow. The position is based in Malmö.

 The responsibility also includes:

  • Structuring responsibilities for solutions within the 4PL-logistics concept as a value proposition aimed at both current and potential customers.
  • Execution and further development of the 4PL Solutions Strategy.
  • Coordinate prioritization and planning of internal and external initiatives, activities and deliveries regarding 4PL solutions and resources.
  • Project work with customer 4PL implementations
  • Consultancy, SaaS and other external resource responsibility regarding 4PL-solutions.
  • Take responsibility for own competence development regarding profession

Profile

To succeed in this role, we believe you have experience in the foundational principles of IT/ERP-business system logic. Additional experience with supply chain solutions, logistics systems, in particular Transport Management Systems and Control Tower is an advantage. You have a university degree in engineering, business administration or equivalent. We think you also possess an analytical approach and are ambitious and driven. You are also curious and have an eager to learn, fluency in English is a requirement, additional language is a plus.

Work Experience

  • Experience from consultancy roles or customer implementation experience
  • Project Management experience 5 + years
  • People Management experience
  • Experience as the client overseeing and commissioning system development projects.
  • General comprehension of Business Architecture design regarding
  • Experience in IT systems and the design of process solutions
  • Experience in process integration between external parties is a plus
