Quality Manager

Offering products that taste good, are healthy, safe and of high and consistent quality is a cornerstone of our work, and our responsibility extends all the way from the dairy farm to the consumer’s table.

Our dairies are FSSC 22000 certified to systematically ensure that our quality and food safety requirements are met (systematic food safety management). We use HACCP to identify, assess and control the risks in our production and products to ensure our products are safe.

Every year we also carry out a number of activities with our staff to strengthen our quality and food safety culture.

The role

The central quality team consists of 6 people reporting to the Quality director. In the team Daniel and Jeanette work with consumer relations, Maria is our Sensory Manager, Arina, Sara and the new team player have the roles as central Quality Managers.

Quality Managers ensure that the quality of the food manufacturing output is consistent and meets government and industry standards as well as customer expectations.

The Quality Manager´s main task is to ensure a suitable, adequate and effective quality management at site, market and division level. It includes also to continuously work with improvements in processes and projects within the area of food safety and quality.

We have factories in Malmö, Kristianstad and Hjo. The role will be based in Malmö and you will report to the Quality Director.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities

·        Offer expertise and advise head quarter functions as well as production sites within the area of quality and product safety. 

·        Work to achieve the company’s strategies and goals by analyzing relevant information and implementing measures to achieve continuous improvement. 

·        Monitor, communicate and implement new laws and other requirements.

·        Assessment, follow-up and reporting on quality KPI’s, RCA, action plans. 

·        Perform internal and supplier audits. 

·        Act for continuous improvements within the quality area.

·        Harmonizing and best practice on sites regarding quality. 

·        Ensure that products, processes and working methods comply with applicable legislation, internal (eg Lactalis guidelines) and external requirements (eg relevant standards, customer requirements, industry guidelines). 

·        Lead and participate in projects within the quality area as well as in projects for new and improved processes and products.

·        Participate in the building of an integrated management system according to ISO9001, FSSC 22000 and ISO 14001

·        Responsible for the monitoring of new/changed group guidelines and its implementation in the management system. 

Profile we are looking for

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have strategic mindset but at the same time are prepared to provide hands on support in the factories. You have previous experience working within the quality area.

You probably have:

·        University degree in Food Science, Quality engineering or other relevant education.

·        Several years’ experience working with quality responsibility within food manufacturing company.

·        Leadership and communications skills to be able to influence internal and external stakeholders.

·        Fluent oral and written skills in Swedish and English

·        A proven track record of effective product safety and quality management.

·        Good knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, food legislation and food production

·        As a person you need to have a down to earth approach and a positive and constructive attitude.
