Field Operations Manager – Installation

Role Summary

We are now looking for someone to take on the role as a Field Operations Manager, for our Business Segment Pedestrian (BSP) in Sweden.

Business Segment Pedestrian (BSP) within the ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems division, sell, install and service swinging, sliding and revolving doors. The Swedish unit consists of approximately 150 employees.

We offer you a dynamic role in a challenging business landscape where you will be able to operate on several different levels within the organization.

Main responsibilities:

As our Field Operations Manager your main responsibility is the continuous development of our field installation operations, giving the Regional Installations Managers the best conditions to carry out the daily operations.

The role is a part of the management team for the Business Unit Sweden and lead a team of twenty employees where nine are direct reports.

The role includes:
Responsible for installation business in Sweden

  • Provide strong and dynamic leadership to manage the performance of the team and individuals.
  • Work both strategically and operationally to develop the installation process, to make sure it is managed effectively and with quality.
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining a proactive and professional relationship with our many subcontractors in the field and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Strategic business development in cooperation with the rest of the Swedish management team
  • You will be based at our head office in Landskrona, Sweden and report to Managing Director.

Profile

To succeed in the role, we believe you have a university degree within engineering or other relevant education and a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience. We also see that you have:

  • Managerial experience from Engineering and/or Construction industry
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding
  • Commercial awareness
  • Good understanding of contractual legal issues and the most common general terms and conditions within the Swedish construction sector
  • Good communication skills
  • Good written and spoken in both Swedish and English

As a person you are flexible and you thrive with both hands-on and strategic tasks. You appreciate working within a fast-changing and growing company and to navigate within a matrix organization. You can communicate complex technical procedures as well as having commercial awareness.

You will be based in Landskrona, Sweden, at the Head Office of ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, just about five minutes’ walk from the train station. About 300 people from different functions and organizations within ASSA ABLOY are based here, making the office vibrant and friendly.
