Castelli AB is subsidiaries of an Italian group recently acquired by Lactalis. The Turnover is about 300 Msek. The company is selling in the whole Nordic, Italian specialties like Parmigiano, Grana Padano and Mozzarella. The HQ is based in Stockholm.

Skånemejerier is based in Malmö and is Sweden’s second largest dairy company, with an annual turnover exceeding 4 billion SEK. The business consists primarily of production and sales of dairy products and fruit drinks. The brands are Skånemejerier, Bravo, Allerum, Hjordnära, Åsens and Lindahls. Skånemejerier has four production sites and approximately 700 employees. Since 2012 Skånemejerier is part of Group Lactalis.

Head of Warehousing/Warehouse Manager

Do you want to join our company in this central and very important role? Our current and fantastic Warehouse Manager is taking on a new challenge within Supply Chain at Skånemejerier and we need to find his replacement.

We are currently looking for a driven and ambitious Warehouse Manager for our two warehouses in Malmö. The main goal of the role will be to lead and manage the 8 direct reports. There are about 100 warehouse personnel in total. The role includes management, continuous improvements and more long-term development action and investment plans.

About the role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the warehouses of finished products in Malmö. The role is responsible for 2 warehouses, where one is High Bay warehouse building. We also have 3PL solution for terminals. 

You will be based at our headquarters in Malmö and you will report to the Supply Chain Director.

The role is responsible for:

• Implement all aspects of Warehouse operational policies, procedures, objectives and initiatives for warehousing.
• Ensure safe and efficient warehousing for both staff, environment and products in accordance with laws and external/internal requirements and rules, including HACCP / FSSC 22000 Food Safety requirements.
• Responsible for developing and improving productivity, quality, and safety to optimize logistics costs over time.
• Responsible for work environment, external environment and security for warehouse operations.
• Budget and investment responsibility – ensure an investment plan within budget for the year. Set budget for the operation and CAPEX for the business.
• Responsible for developing, measuring and communicating relevant KPIs for the business.
• Attend audits and help identify and implement action plans, ensure that they comply with company recommendations and laws and regulations.
• Ensuring continuous work improvement using a LEAN approach.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with good experience in supply chain/warehouse management or from relevant field. You have a university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations or similar.

You are experienced from a leading role, preferable in the food industry. You need to be adaptable in a constantly changing work environment, characterized by fast pace and rapid change. Through your leadership, inclusion, clear expectations and follow-up, you engage your team to look for innovative changes to improve.  

To be successful in this role you should also be a person with the ability to prioritize and to keep your employees involved in the strategies and goals. Communication is key in this role, and you will have a lot of different stakeholders, both internally within both Skånemejerier and Lactalis as externally with different stakeholders.

Since you have budget and investment responsibility, we expect you to have good economic understanding. You will work in an international environment and we expect you to have a high professional knowledge in both Swedish and in English. Experience of continuous improvement and LEAN/Six Sigma is a merit.
