About the role

The role as Compensation and Benefits Director is a global function for the entire ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, a Division of the ASSA ABLOY Group.

The role is to develop, analyze, implement, communicate and administer competitive total rewards programs specifically around compensation & benefits within Entrance Systems Division (below mentioned as ESD). This role is vital to ensure that ESD is attractive and competitive in the market for talent.

In addition, the role will also oversee the Swedish shared payroll center for all ASSA ABLOY entities in Sweden.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the group wide rollout and adoption of a common job-grading platform (Mercer) including job architecture for the HRIS.
  • Administration of the compensation structures in the organization (grading system, etc.) aligned with the corporate culture and the corporate values.
  • Manage the ESD executive compensation programs including STI and LTI.
  • Coordinate compensation processes such as salary planning & incentive schemes development and administration.
  • Provide advice on salary increase requests and merit increases, and provide data to participate in external surveys and benchmarking such as Mercer.
  • Working closely with the HR community, you will determine the long-term strategy for benefits and continuously evaluate all benefits plans to ensure they are cost effective, competitive, and meet the needs of both the company and employees.
  • Management of Payroll function in Sweden (4 FTEs) running approx. 2000 salaries.
  • Update and manage policies and recommendations related to C&B for the Division.

About you

To enjoy and succeed in this role, we believe you have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Business, Human Resources or similar field. You have good experiences in Compensation & Benefits area and also experience working with payroll in multi-site environment. Previous experience with Mercer or similar structured compensation systems is highly desired. You should enjoy working with a team, but also be able to manage projects autonomously.

We also need you to have:

  • Excellent analytical skills including advanced spreadsheet capabilities in Excel.
  • Teamwork skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to both manage and assist with compensation related activities. 
  • Exceptional communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to present complex information in a concise and intelligent manner to both employees and executive teams.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
  • Process improvement oriented and the ability to make recommendations and decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of job evaluation, market pricing, and variable pay methodologies.
  • Must be comfortable in both developing strategies and performing hands-on analysis

We do think that you have to like to work in an international and changing environment and as a person being a self-starter with high energy and business acumen. Some international travel will be part of the role and the ability to communicate in English without hindrance is required.

You will be based in Landskrona, Sweden, but you also have a possibility to sit at the office in Malmoe. Both Landskrona and Malmoe office is just about five minutes’ walk from the train station.
