DEMAND PLANNER

Our Demand Planners are important partners and stakeholders in the IBM (IBP) process through which we manage and steer our Company. In the role, you will be part of our planning organization that consists of 14 employees who work closely with other departments such as sales, industrial, marketing, customer service and milk collection. The planning department is divided into three parts; Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Material Planning.

In this role your main responsibility will be the volume forecast for given segments of products and to ensure that the rest of the organization has the information and plans they need to fulfill the Customer demand.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

We expect you to be a dynamic person that takes initiative wherever you see that it is needed. However, below you will find the key responsibilities that the role of Demand Planner holds.

  • Forecasting sales volumes and service level on portfolio of products. The forecast you are working with in close collaboration with the responsible KAM for each Customer.
  • The main KPIs you will be followed up on, and hence should guide your decisions and actions, are service level, waste, logistic costs, forecast accuracy and bias.
  • You are expected to be a driver within our IBM process, ensuring alignment between all company departments. This includes identifying and addressing gaps between forecast, budget and outcome.
  • You will prepare decision material and presentations for the IBM-process and its various forums.
  • We expect you to participate in projects and drive initiatives to contribute to the improvement of our processes and performance.
  • You will often be asked to conduct ad-hoc analysis to support both operational and commercial decision making.
  • You will get the responsibility to represent the supply chain team in product launches and phase out projects of products in your segment.
  • Together with the team (e.g. supply planners and material planners), you will be responsible for ensuring supply at the lowest possible cost.
  • As responsible for the forecast of segments, you are also expected to maintain demand planning parameters and certain master data in the system for those products.
  • If the relevant KPIs do not reach the target we have set for ourselves, you will be expected to autonomously conduct root cause analysis and to drive the identified actions for improvements on a continuous basis
  • As in all other companies, we support each other. Therefore, during vacation periods, you might get the opportunity to help with supply planning for parts of your portfolio during a limited period of time.

 Profile we are looking for

We are mainly focused on the character and ability of the person coming into the team which means that we do not have strict requirements for what the profile of our ideal candidate looks like.
